Thank you so much Respite Explorers, you have made our Graces Easter holiday so much better! We cant thank you enough! x

Grace's Mum

My daughter has recently started with Respite Explorers and absolutely loves it. It allows Maddie to do something that is just for her and also gives the rest of the family to to do something that she might not want to or couldn't access. It is also a nice social activity for her and an opportunity for her to meet other kids. We would absolutely recommend Respite Explorers to others and are so happy we found out about them.

Maddie's Mum

Respite Explorers has changed our lives. We were in desperate need for support with our son as his needs became increasingly complex and our ability to meet them, run a household, and properly look after our daughter (who has needs of her own) increased. Respite Explorers provided a safe, reliable, happy and supportive space for Felix to thrive alongside trusted adults and more recently, other children – something he struggled to achieve in mainstream school. We cannot emphasise just how much difference nine hours a week brought to our family situation and to Felix’s sense of well-being and independence. Without these hours we would not have survived mentally or emotionally as a family, and we are sure that Felix’s quality of life would be far less high as a result. Respite Explorers are a lifeline for the children they support and their families, and we will be forever grateful for their ability to step in and offer what we needed at the time we needed it most.

Felix's Dad

Respite explorers are a huge part of our children’s lives. Over the last year they have attended a huge amount of places with them, including trips to Bath, Weston, train rides, swimming, Puxton, St Fagon’s to name a few. Both girls have formed strong relationships with all the staff members, and are always happy going off. We have total trust  and confidence in all the staff, and it’s wonderful to know that while they are with Respite explorers they are taking part in some type of activity in the community. Both of the girls face many challenges and life can be really difficult for them, they don’t and won’t have “play dates” with friends, so for us, knowing that they are our socialising with their peers is huge. We are really grateful for the service respite explorers provide.

Daisy & Indie's Mum

As parents of a 13 year old boy with severe learning difficulties we have used many respite and carer agencies. Respite Explorers is by far the most professional caring and we have ever used. Emma and her staff are genuinely committed to making sure our son has the best time possible and have built and amazing relationships with him. The thought that goes into the activities they put on and the care and attention they give to our son is unparalleled. I dont know what we would do without them.

Hugh's Dad

Respite explorers has changed our family life for the better. Grace loves all the activities on offer, especially the Warmley wheelers and Noah’s ark zoo farm. She also loves to cook and do crafts too. Grace is picked up at 9 in the morning and loves picking up other children and interacting with them and their families. We get a full 4 hour break and can make the most of the respite because we don’t have to drop Grace off. I am confident in all the staff at respite explorers know Grace and will keep her safe. She has complex medical condition and I know that she is closely monitored, all the while having fun and interacting with others. We could not, as a family, give Grace these opportunities. We are grateful that respite explorers have the time and the energy to help Grace and enrich her life.
